The block screen series

'Woman in Plasma HD' Silkscreen Acrylic on Canvas, 180 x 150cm That first decade of the new millennium was the era of the screen; the emergence of plasma. As a new form of technology to the common household, it had some unique characteristics unseen before which gave it an existence in itself. It had its own plasma cells and ionized gas which responded to electrical fields; almost like arousal. It was tactile; the screen was soft to the touch. It could be curvy, flat, protruding; you could choose your model and it defined who you were. It was aesthetically pleasing, displayed as a wall hanging, which to some might be seen as the beginning of the end of art displayed on a wall.
